Hulu Live TV

I recently started using Hulu live TV subscription to replace my Tivo and add to my limited Spectrum lineup which consists of channels 1-13 and HBO.  The best thing right now about the service is access to Playoff NHL Hockey with is only on NBCSN, of course, that is only good for May.

Right now Hulu Live TV is in Beta and is only available on a limited number of devices.  I use an android tablet or an Apple IPAD and a Generation 1 Chromecast connected to my Samsung SUHD TV.  I was presently surprised with the image quality and streaming of the NHL games to my TV, it was not perfect but that is most likely due to the age of my Chromecast device, Google actually has a 4K device, the Chromecast Ultra for $69 dollars, which at this time I do not think it is worth it.

The most frustrating thing about the Hulu service is there is not an easy way to get a channel lineup that shows what is playing right now by channel.  While I understand Hulu is trying to change how we consume Live TV, I still need that channel lineup.

So far though I have been happy with the Hulu Live TV, and I did not miss any of the NY Rangers or Washington Capitals Playoff Games.

The real test is going to be when my wife starts using the service, the Hulu App on Tivo was easy and intuitive to use, but to save money we let our Tivo service to expire to purchase the Hulu Live TV, so we no longer have access to the Tivo Hulu App.
