I live in NYC with my family and am an IT Professional where my areas of focus are Network Infrastructure.   The technologies are I work with are Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Unified Communications and Wireless and I have varies IT certifications including Certified Wireless Network Professional.
A current hobby of mine, that surprisingly my wife lets me pursue, is Home Internet of Things (IoT) automation.  While big company is watching, I have given into the ease of walking into a room and asking Google “Hey Google, what is the temperature outside?”  That is easier than taking out my phone, typing in my passcode, and opening up the weather app.  My IoT setup consists of Phillips Hue Generation 2 hub with the mixture of a Gen 1,2, and 3 Hue bulbs, Phillips switches, 3 Google Homes, 1 Harmony Hub, and some Lutron devices.
